Cosmetic Radio-SurgeryAchieve beautiful smooth skin by removing non-cancerous moles and skin lesions with minimal scarring.
How does the treatment work? Cosmetic radio-surgery is a revolutionary procedure which uses radio-waves to remove moles and skin lesions without the need for cuts or stitches.
Results from the procedure are superior to more conventional methods of lesion removal. Radio-surgery causes minimal tissue damage which means reduced, or no scar tissue formation.
Is it painful? Skin lesions still need to be anaesthetized prior to radio-surgery. We use the finest needles possible to minimise discomfort. Following the procedure there is usually very little pain.
How long will it take? Removing a single lesion takes 15-20 minutes.
What is the recovery time? There should be no bleeding following the procedure. No dressings are required for most lesions. We expect to see minor redness and swelling in the skin following the procedure for 4-6 weeks. After this time the redness should fade to blend with the surrounding skin.
In order to minimise scarring we prefer to be conservative with our approach to removing tissue. There is a risk that some lesions may re-appear with time so a repeat procedure may be required at a later date.
How much will it cost? Small lesions can be removed from as little as $60 although the size and number of lesions to be removed needs to be considered.
